Today was our day to sleep late, rest, and play tourist in Edmonton. Our main activity was to go on a tour of the city, with a good tour guide. We toured in several parts of the city, and were impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of the city in general. What we hadn't realized was that a large river, the Saskatchewan river, runs though a deep and sharp valley and more or less bisects the city. This big and steep river valley has been kept strictly for parks and riding or walking trials throughout the length of the river in the city, and it is beautiful. |
