Deane and Norm's Motorcycle Trip to Labrador | ![]() |
|
July 2 - Concord, NC |
| Today was a day of visiting with Cathy,
and the kids, Josiah, Emily, and Nathaniel. David had to work, so we
saw him later in the day.
Our first task was to change oil in the motorcycles. (Of course we had to do this in between fun games with the kids.) We found a Honda shop fairly near, bought the oil, and got the oil change done in the morning. Then it was time to wash the motorcycles, since we had been on the road with several rain storms or showers for the last several days. We had good little helpers to do this, of course.
With motorcycles ready for the road again, we took the opportunity to visit a racing museum. Since we were in Charlotte, we were close to the Charlotte NASCAR race track, and the little museum was near the race track. This museum had both race cars and restored vintage cars. Norm is the expert on cars (he knows all of them by year, and what alterations were made for racing, etc.), so everybody got an education on the vintage and race cars. Then it was back to the games. Cathy and David's kids are really very good at board games and card games, so a good time was had by all. |
